German-Russian Exchange took part together with the educational platform Trava with four events about social entrepreneurship

In the framework of the 16 th German Week in Saint Petersburg, organised by the German Consulate General from 3 rd to 10 th April, the German-Russian Exchange took part together with the educational platform Trava with four events about social entrepreneurship. Constance Röhle, from the social brewery “Quartiermeister”, Maria Randina from the vegan/vegetarian activist kitchen “Fläming Kitchen” and Ana Lichtwer from the second hand charity shops “Komm&Sieh” on behalf of the Berlin City Mission have been guests of the German-Russian Exchange.
Part of the series of events has not only been a discussion with all three guests and local activists, but also workshops in which every guest had the possibility to present her way of social entrepreneurship. What kind of problems do the agents in Germany have?

Are these problems comparable to those organizations in Russia have? Can approaches, which are used in Germany also be useful in Russia? How does the financing of the organizations work and if they realize profit, what are they doing with it?

All these questions have been actively and deeply discussed during the talk and workshops, in which also up-cycling and waste-cooking have been tried by up to 100 participants.
